Signage Installation

Installed right.
Every time.

Signage only works when it is in the right position, fixed securely, and visible to the people who need to see it. Signs-R-Us provides professional installation across road, construction, mining, commercial, and corporate environments, with experienced teams who understand the structural and safety requirements of each site.

What We Install

Every sign type, properly placed

From a single directional sign at a building entrance to a full-site installation programme across multiple locations, our teams handle the complete installation requirement. We supply and install, or install client-supplied signage, using the correct fixing methods and materials for each sign type and surface.

Our road and traffic signage is installed to SARTSMA and COLTO specifications. Our OHS signage meets South African health and safety requirements. Where removal, replacement, or repositioning of existing signage is needed, we handle that as part of the project scope.

How It Works

From site survey to sign-off

Every installation project follows a clear process that ensures the signage ends up in the right position, fixed to the right structure, and visible to the right audience from day one.

01

Site Survey and Assessment

Where applicable, we carry out a site visit before installation begins. We assess the structure, surface type, visibility lines, and any access or working-at-height considerations that affect how and where the signage is fixed.

02

Structural and Fixing Requirements

We determine the correct mounting method for each sign: post and socket, wall bracket, adhesive, bolt-through, or welded fixing. Structural requirements are assessed against the sign dimensions, material weight, and wind-load exposure on site.

03

Safe Professional Installation

Our installation teams work safely and correctly across indoor, outdoor, elevated, and confined environments. We use appropriate equipment for the job and follow safe working practices throughout, including working-at-height procedures where required.

04

Completion and Handover

Once installation is complete, signage is checked for correct positioning, secure fixing, and legibility. Any existing signage that has been removed or replaced is cleared from site. Project completion is confirmed before handover.

Installation Capability

Single sign or multi-site project: we scope accordingly

Our installation service is built around project requirements. Whether a client needs one sign fixed securely to a wall or a programme of installations across multiple sites over an extended period, we structure the work to suit the scope.

Individual and Project Installation

We handle both standalone installations and large-scale multi-site projects. Programme management, scheduling, and on-site coordination are included where the project requires it.

Safe Working Practices

Our teams follow safe installation procedures on every site, including working-at-height requirements. We work alongside other contractors and comply with site-specific health and safety rules.

Correct Fixing and Mounting

We select appropriate fixing methods for each sign type: post and socket, wall-mounted brackets, adhesive systems, or structural bolting, matched to the sign weight and the surface it is fixed to.

Removal and Replacement

Existing signage that needs to come down is removed cleanly and cleared from site. Replacement signs are positioned correctly and fixed securely, with all old fixings made good where possible.

After Installation

Installation is the beginning, not the end

Signage on a working site faces wear, weather, impact, and fading over time. A sign that was correctly installed but not maintained becomes a liability rather than an asset: unclear, poorly visible, or in some cases non-compliant.

Signs-R-Us provides ongoing signage maintenance services alongside our installation offering, including inspection, repair, and replacement of damaged or degraded signage. For clients with large sign estates, a planned maintenance programme can be put in place.
